Professional Development

So, you’ve earned your degree. You have a job. And, depending on where you are in your career, you may be well on your way up the corporate ladder. Why, then, should you consider hitting the books once again?

• Maybe you have hit a plateau and want to increase your skills base so you are qualified to take on a higher-level position.
• Perhaps your employer is encouraging or requiring additional job training.
• You may have a license or certification that requires ongoing continuing education.
• You might be looking to shift gears - by choice or by circumstance.
• Or, maybe you just want to learn something new.

A college degree is not the only vehicle for gaining credentials for a particular job. Increasingly, training programs, certificates and nondegree programs that equip individuals with specialized skills are gaining widespread ground in the education market.  And Rutgers Continuing Education has responded with a broad scope of opportunities including the ability to earn a Rutgers certificate.
