You will also learn how to tailor your unique passions, talents, experience, and achievements to the positions you are seeking in order to get yourself at the interview table.

Networking Your Way to a New or Better Career

10-11 a.m., George H. Cook Room, Cook Campus Center
Presenter: Christine Clericuzio

Networking is one of the most essential career development and job search tools that is often overlooked by students, job hunters, and career changers. In relation to career development, a well-developed network provides a support system of individuals who can provide meaningful assistance as it relates to your career exploration, referrals to potentially influential individuals, and learning about potential job openings. This workshop is designed to help dedicated career seekers understand how to leverage their existing network, develop a new network, and create an effective networking plan to accomplish their career goals. You will also learn how recruiters are trained to select candidates once you succeed in getting your résumé into the right hands - maximizing your chances of getting an interview!
